Thank you all for replies I thought I might upgrade my AV receiver and wanted to hold off if new formats were in the pipeline.

Does anyone know if there are new surround sound formats to match the UHD picture quality? Dolby DTS UHD?

unfortuntely the 30 series glasses use IR and the new 50 series are blue tooth so your old ones will not work! good deal overall though.

any usb keyboard will work including wireless ones

1 for tv 2 for the blu ray recorder plus 1 aerial for the tv

may sound a silly question but is you sky plus box set to rgb in the picture options as this and a good scart lead can make the world of difference. also keep the sharpness up at least 3/4 of the way.

i am in the market for a hd-receiver and all my other gear is panasonic so i auditioned one at an idependant dealer and was quite impressed ,but reading reviews (not many about thou) seemed very negative. has anyone else heard it or owned one?

you could have got faulty hdmi leads, have you tried any others?

hope someone can help. i have 3 sky boxes, one standard (no subs) and two sky hd boxes (subs on one) both of the sky hd boxes have chanel4+1 (135) but on the standard box nothing? i have tried a software update and different cards,but no luck. none of the boxes are connected to the phone line...

unfortunately panasonic don't do the matching stands for this years range!!

the th46pz81 can play back hd video on its sd card reader and the pz85 can not,also the pz85 has a lot better standard audio system. but picture quality is the same!
