I think I have eventualy found my speaker system for my Samsung UE46B8000. The recent test in What hifi gave this sound bar a 5* But I am not sure what to buy with it. I am thinking of a blu ray Sony S760, does anyone recommend a Samsung or Yamaha over this model. I beleive that I also need a sub woofer, can someone give me advice on which one. And finally do i need an amp or receiver, again advice plaese. Finally where to buy? Dealers advice welcome.

Oh and should I go for the YSP5100. The room is a large orangery 5m x 8m with pitch half glass ceiling. I can't do full surround sound due to tilled floor.

Many thanks

I have not personally heard one of these sound bars, so I can't adivce too much on the best kit to partner it with however, it would make sense to go for a yamaha receiver, probably the RXV-1065, based on the size of your room.

For the blu ray player, you can't go wrong with the Sony 760, good choice.

I dont't know where abouts in the country you are but I have an audio-T near me and they are excellent, also they have a sale on at the moment, 10% off first item, 12.5% off second item and 15% off the third. Might be worth a look.

Also SSAV have some good deals and staff, also richersounds price match, what ever you go for get an audition if you.

You don't need an AV Receiver with the 4100, or the 5100. It's basically like an AV Receiver with an on board speaker. You have your HDMI inputs/output, analog/digital inputs, decoders/DSP, and even an FM Tuner.

It is literally, a one-box solution !

I think the 4100 is a great choice and what you are going to need basically to get the best out of it is definately a subwoofer, i have a B&W ASW610 with my Yamaha sound bar and it sounds awesome. Also yes you need a good blu ray player, the S760 is a great choice, also Pioneer are very good too, you should have at look at those too.

Oh, no you do not need a amp as the Yamaha is a amplifier and speaker system combined in one.

The best thing to buy is a large bin! stick it in and get rid. There is no substitute for a full speaker package no matter what anyone says.

And why does having a tiled floor stop you doing it the right way?
