Hi all,

I'm new here so hello ;o)

I Have about £1000 to spend on an AV amp to go with the B&W MT60D speaker package, I've read the review for the RX-V1900 and RX-A1010 and think the V1900 sounds the better amp, but as it is now discontionued is it better to go for the A1010 or spend extra to get the A2010? I have found the V1900 for £1000 so am toying with buying it?

Many thanks

N.

V1900 for £1000 is ridiculously expensive. I paid around that much 3 years ago!

I would go for the RX-A1010. To my ears, it was an improvement over my 1900.

EDIT: I just looked at my invoice. I paid £999-£219 discount = £780 for the RX-V1900 3 years ago.

hi there ,

Would agree with BB as 1000 pound is pretty expensive for an older amp , I have a 1900 and its brilliant but i imagine even though your 20 watts out per channel you wont notice that when calibrated . I have heard the 1010 but not in an A-B test with a 1900 but it sounded great. All the best.
