Yamaha RN 602

Ahhh so you're still at the research phase 🙂

Check out little Onkyo CR-N765 the specs are very good for the price. They've improved CRN755 in every way I was hoping for. Sadly not heard it yet.

Still there, nearly pulled trigger on Raumfeld connector last night and discovered this one. There is nothing wrong with my system but figured I'd ask about this as my amp is about 15 yrs old (nothing wrong with that either but I want this to be my last purchase for a while), so trying to make it count.

I will check the Onkyo, thanks

It's amp side is not huge. Don't be put off by 22Wpc into 4 ohm. It easily drives sensitive speakers for home listening at more volume than you'll need.

Think of it as a nice upgrade path as everything but the amp is worth that price IMHO. So you wouldn't feel bad using it just as a dac/streamer/cd/radio/flac player if you wanted to buy an amp a year or two down the line.

Fair enough, thought it's worth a mention as I'm happy with it's earlier version. I'm considering it myself as a dac/source as I'm sorted on the amp front.

My whole thing is box reduction. I got a chromecast to a dac to an amp (I know i could go chromecast direct) but unfortunetely he chromecast is intermittent with spotify. I can plug laptop into the dac and its fine while I use the phone as a remote.

You know what,I don't really need anything, just have an urge to buy toys
