YAMAHA NS-BP400 Speakers

No, separate from a chaps studio.
I didn't buy them in the end.

I will be trying an old set of old Ditton 15's with. NAD C320 and a Marantz Cd56.

Any feedback on the Dittons would be good.

Many thanks..

I haven’t heard any for about forty years! But they could sound a bit ‘thick’ unless raised on stands. They had a relatively unusual ABR, an auxiliary bass radiator, like a dummy speaker instead of an open port. It increased the bass beyond the smaller Dittons. Bear in mind that in it’s day a 20 wpc amp was powerful, so don’t expect to be able to thrash them! And they may be frail in old age…

Celestion were a famous hifi brand which has sadly ceased to exist.

I grew up with Celestions, my uncles old hifi was megger.
It's for a spare music room so it hasn't got to be state of the art plus I find listening to a lot of modern setups too clinical.
Celestion are still going strong but concentrate on commercial and instrument amplifiers and are still a major player to many a guitarist.

Thank you.
