Hi

I have connected up my 5 speakers to this AV amplifier. Centre, front right, front left all work fine. However my two rear speakers don't seem to be getting any signal - no sound when I play a blu ray - when the blu ray is playing the amplifier screen indicates Centre, front left, front right, surround left and surround right - why does rear right and rear left not show up - I know its 5.1 sound but I thought it would be rear right and rear left in addition to the one I mentioned.

Any advice appreciated.

is it 5.1 you have connected or 7.1,did you run the set up system,if 5.1 have you connected your rears to the surround back by mistake,if you have 7.1 pure direct will only play to 5.1 from a 5.1 soundtrack,you need to force the extra speakers.
