I want to say NICE Amplifier! I'm a bit jealous. More than I want to spend though.
I don't know if you have this brand in England but the Vandersteen 2CE Signatures are very musically satisftying to listen to. They are $2400 so probably around £2000. Whenever I listen to them I just enjoy the music and everything else just seems so natural that I don't have to think about detail, soundstage, or anything like that. But they do all those things very well.
A bit ugly and not cat friendly but worth it. 1 inch tweeter, 4.5 inch midrange that goes all the way to 5kHz, 8 inch woofer, and a 10 inch Active Acoustic Coupler. Not bass heavey sounding at all, just good bass. The speakers also have tweeter and midrange level controls! If I ever have more room these will be my new speakers.
