The Puccini drier?? I'm surprised, though I've only heard the Primo and the Maestro. 'Dry' would be the last word I'd use to describe them.

You should give the Genelecs an extended audition - I'm still to have the second demo, and still have several reservations, but, given you'll also need to factor in the price of a decent pre-amp (which the man in the shop impressed upon me, despite having done the demo with a budget AV amp) they're certainly not dry.

I think those three are one in the same amp mate, but thanks for posting it nonetheless - you're trying to tell me something I think!

That dealer's alright actually, but the step up would be minimal I think. However, ooo, it has the rack handles attached...anyways, where was I...well, unlikely I'd go for it...but you never know. Someone should, looks like it's in great nick, but this would be, in all seriousness, more of a sideways move than big step up territory.

Yup mate, found it very tonally similar to the Marantz I had at the time, but more clinical, hence the "drier" comment. Didn't see the point in trialling it for any longer as it was a backwards step at the time.
