yamaha 3900 or something else

Iam getting a games room built and putting in a home cinema as well (nothing to grand) so iam selling my arcam gear in the living room and just keeping the tv in there for normal viewing.

Now iam thinking of getting an all in one box av amp and the yamaha 3900 looks like a good idea. i cant use my existing arcam stuff because i only have a space of 18 cm high to put the new amp. would the yamaha 3900 be as good as what i have now i will be using the existing speakers or are there any other av amps out there that would do the job ive got about £1500 to spend.

Whilst I love my older Yamaha amp for it's surround sound capibilitys I would have to say I am yet to hear any Yamaha,Denon or Pioneer AV Amp that come close to Arcam when it come to Music.

i very much agree with you i love my arcam but hopefully looking for a a compromise in the games room ill be very sad when the arcams go and in the games room i will have to sacrifice the music quality for all the wii ps3 and movie stuff
