XLR will sound better than RCA if they cost ten times as much and have been sprinkled with magic pixie dust. They also need to be as thick as a hose pipe and have big shiny connectors the size of your fist in order to get a proper connection.

(This thread is intended for research purpsoses to find out what the typical audiophile thinks about cables. Therefore it deserves to have someting utterly nonesensical written about them.)
