X Power review.... Now go for a pre amp over integrated?!

Hi,

Just took delivery of my X Power, and hoocked it up, wow what a difference it makes!

All I have to do now, is sell the 8vs2 and get the Pre Vs2, and we are good to go, well, keep it like that for a while.

What do people think, get rid of the integrated and get a dedicated pre amp to add to the x power?

As I said; use your system as bi-amping for now. Integrated for the HF's and the XPower for the LF's and see how you get on

My missus trialed the PreVS2 as well as bi-amping and we both thougfht that the bi-amping instead of pre/power was better.

At the end of the day it's your ears that will tell you but give the bi-amping a good session first before you change any more

ha-ha you know how it is, looking to upgrade etc!!

Don't worry, the system biamping will get a very good few months listening to, as well as moving the units around. At the moment I hooked it up as HF was the X Power, then integrated and PSX-r on the LF. I will have a play and see how the sound changes in time etc.
