I have a Yamaha KX-393 deck, and (as visible), the tape door is wonky to the point I can see the bottom of the movement under said door. Any way to fix this? Or is this completely normal? Can't say I've noticed it to be like that before.

Cheers,

Hardly normal Nic (you wouldn't expect it to look like that from new would you? 😉).
You'll probably see more of what you need to see from within - if you remove the top cover.
Check the hinges - look for broken plastic and the travel / fitting of the runners.
It should be obvious why it's slightly ****-eyed.

EDIT: I like the way that asterisks get automatically put into a common, inoffensive term above 🙄 (good old nanny state....maybe I should expect 5 policemen to arrest me).

Its a common problem with these Yamaha range models, if you open the door you will find the front slides up and off, (It has nothing to do with holding the cassette in place) if it bugs you, just slide , it off and with a small fille make the left had slots slightly deeper, (Be careful not to take too much off) till it is level. (As it doesn't affect the cassette holder (Apart from looking a bit off) it is also safe to leave as is)

Oh yeah, quite a big gap at the bottom, the right side seems tightly fitted, this has left a slight gap left side.
It seems to have misaligned from usage or is this how you purchased it?

Check inside for broken bits of plastic, check also if it is slightly out of groove but able to push into place.
If not, perhaps you're able to replace the door?
