Hello, now that the cost of the projectors has gone down so much I would like to consider the possibility of getting one. The problem is that there is no way in my room to pass a cable through and up to the ceiling in order to connect to the projector. Do you know if there are projectors/devices that can receive the image wireless with decent quality? Thanks, Pablo.

Hi Rendu,

Still seems early days for the whole wifi HDMI thing!

I came up with a solution for my own set up which involved using a temporary projector at the rear of the room.

BD player, Sky and amp at the front of room. Connected 1 x Lindy 7.5m flat HDMI cable (£35 from Lindy.co.uk +p&p)and ran it under the carpet to the rear of the room. From here i use a fold out bookcase that i purchased form Argos for £38 ( not sure if still available) to support the projector when in use. When the projector is tucked away the bookcase folds flat and goes under my settee -out of sight. Have a permanent 77" screen at the front of the room flush to the ceiling.

Works well for me and good value. I guess you could always use a tabletop projector though or perhaps a permanent shelf or unit at the rear with a flat cable. We have a small child so trailing cables are now a thing of the past.

Hope this helps in some way.

Thanks for the tips. The main problem that I have is that in order to pass a cable I would have to literaly break through some furniture and that is not an option. Therefore, I suppose that I will have to wait a bit further until they invent something.

Best regards, Pablo
