Will this amp/speaker configuration work?

Unfortunately, I am a complete novice in the area of amplifiers and speakers and thus I don't know whether or not my planned configuration will work. My plan is a Cambridge audio a1 amp (8ohms impedance) and 2 q acoustic 2010i speakers! Will the amp be powerful enough etc?

Totally would have thought so.any chance you could go for the a5? Might be even better.

.. that's what I've heard and works really good together

The Qs work really well with Denon amps. Can you stretch to a PMA520AE? Alternatively, if 2nd hand (which an A1 or A5 would have to be now), consider one of the PMA250/255 variants.

If you do go for one of the A-series CA amps watch out for poor channel balance at low volume levels.
