So large scale production does not reduce prices, that is incorrect.
Hi-Fi is not a niche market, that is incorrect.
They only use cheap headphones in studios, so headphone outputs are irrelevant, that is incorrect.

1) It's not necessarily accurate to say that you always get equivalent or better quality for less with audio interfaces compared to Hi-Fi equipment. The quality of both Hi-Fi and audio interface products can vary widely, and many factors influence their performance and cost. Hi-Fi systems often focus on audio quality and fidelity, while audio interfaces prioritize features like low-latency recording and connectivity.

2) Hi-Fi is not a niche market. The Hifi system market is expected to grow from USD 13.6 billion in 2020 to USD 17.5 billion in 2025, which is similar to the game console market segment.

3) A pro audio headphone output is designed for live sound reinforcement, recording, mixing, mastering, and broadcasting. Which means the pro audio DAC will bring out all the inconsistencies of a recording, such as noise, distortion, clipping, or imbalance, therefore it can be both a blessing and a curse.

There's no silver bullet or cheat code here. Hi-Fi DACs are designed to sound good and they look great.
