I recently bought in a Spain a Panasonic TX-PF42G10 (French Model).

Next month I'll be moving to Ireland and I was wondering if it is worth taking the TV with me.

Can anyone please tell me if there would be any type of compatibility issues?

Many thanks!

France used to use a different picture system called SECAM. That was not compatible with PAL used in this country. Check the spec of the TV to seeif it can process a PAL picture

Thanks for your reply!

The TV manual states that it has PAL B, G, H, I, SECAM B, G, SECAM L, PAL D,K, SECAM D, K, PAL 525/60, DVB-T, DVB-C, M.NTSC, NTSC.

Should it be OK then?

Many thanks!

Remember that the built-in tuners will probably not work in the UK or Ireland. However, you can just connect a freeview or sky/cable box and you are sorted.

Surely it would just blow up the moment you plug it into the mains over here, in france they have 110v over here we have 240v not unless it can accept multiple voltages! its worth a try though!
