I cant understand it.

I put it down to 260.00 + 20,00 delivery, what is going on?

This sub is good, am I doing something wrong, I thinks its a good subwoofer with great sound.

Its selling for 500.00 everywere, so if I am having problems at 260.00 then the shops must be strugling.

Can someone advise, twice its been on ebay, and nothing. first it stopped im the day, and no the night, some guy offered 250.00 delivery, but this sub is worth more than that. IMHO

Sorry if I am breaking rules, just frustrated,

It can be frustating on ebay. Audiophile products sell better where you'll find audiophiles the most. There are some second hand hi-fi shops (although I'm not aware of any) if you look around. Also, some forums have a classifieds section where you can advertise your products to sell. But until a dedicated classifieds section comes up on this forum, you can't sell them here.

daveh75:The fact the MA RSW12 can now be had for under 400 notes, probably isn't helping either..........

That's exactly the reason why canada16 intends to sell his R370HD, to buy the RSW12!

Is it worth the extra 150?

It has pretty much the same driver, just not a 500w amp.

What do you think?

I am about to take it off, TBH as by the time ebay fees get taken off, I would have lost money on this 500.00 subwoofer. If I put a reserve, that costs a lot, when I sold my XPS laptop, I think they charged me like 10,00 just for the reserve.

Should I take the 250.00 with postage, or is that just a waste of money?

Ok .... a quick look on google and you can buy a new one for £499.99

one was recenly listed on ebay with a start price of £249.95 or a buy it now price of £260 and it never sold

so, here is a suggestion ....

if the sub is listed on ebay and you cannot edit it, then cancel the listing and relist it with the following title:

Powerful Subwoofer speaker - laptop computer Linn Naim TV x box 360 B W Kef

place the ad in the following 2 categories:

consumer electronics> Home Audio/HIfi> Speakers> Subwoofers

consumer electronics> DJ equipment>speakers

list it for 10 days ... list it internationally (worldwide) .... check shipping prices on www.parcel2go.com and add £14 ontop of their prices to allow for proper packing ....

start the auction at £1.99 .... let it run for 10 days, but make sure that the auction ends at approx 9pm UK time (and not on a friday or sat evening)

you will sell it, and at a guess, I would say you will be lucky to get £300 for it

(I have used some the most typed words in the title that are searched on ebay ... (a bit of keyword spamming ... but what the Heck!)

title may not make 100% sense, but you will get a lot more people seeing the item and they will be curious as there is no actual description of the make/model, so they will open the advert and read it

Ah thats mine that is listed for 249.95 and 260.00 buy it now.

I will just let it run as its costing me almost a deep sea diver every time I list,

lower your start price (not the buy it now price)

how many people are watching your sub?

You need to display a proper photo rather than the stock photo you have used.

If I was buying anything online for £250 I'd want to see the item I'm buying - your photo shows a black finish and you're selling a walnut subwoofer?

TRUE!!

Will take some pics in an hour and see what happens,

Its an amazing looking sub and built solid.

The walnut looks so much nicer than the black.

I had the same problem with some of my items. People just love the bidding war, rather than buy it now's.

Start it at 99p, and whack a reserve on it. Sit back and watch the bidding, bet it even goes above the bIN price you set before.

many are 'put off' by a reserve price ... experience has shown us that if you list properly (with a bit of keyword spamming) ... and a low price, listed internationally, you get a decent price

wife does not sell hifi, but suppose all things work similar on ebay

I wont ship anywere but the UK and ireland.

The shipping would be too much, I told some guy 50.00 to sweden and he never got back to me.

Just stopped and will re-start again, with true pics and a reserve.

I cant risk starting at 1p and it only reaching 100.00, I am not that brave.

No, but if you start at 99p & keep a reserve price of, say, £240 (which is known only to you & not the bidders), the low start price will encourage people to bid. If the listing ends at below the reserve price, it won't be sold, but atleast you'll know up to how much are people willing to pay. Also, towards the end of the listing, if people go into a bidding frenzy, they sometimes keep increasing their bid without realising how high they've gone.

Just re-listed with new pics and starting at 249.95, with 15.0 postage.

I am sorry if no one wants it at that price, not a mark on it, I will keep it.

Thanks guys, and let me know what you think .

Honestly, atleast start the bid at £99 & keep a reserve price of £249. If I'm a bidder & start bidding at £99, I'll get the message from Ebay that the reserve price has not been met. If the auction does not reach £250, it won't be sold. As simple as that. But atleast people will start bidding & you'll know how far are people willing to bid.

Ok set at 1.99 to start, with a very good reserve. and if it does not reach, it will stay with me I guess.

Personally I probably would have taken the £250 offer....

Looking at the completed items for MA subs there are only a couple that have sold, not even the RSW12 for £399!

Whilst I appreciate what Dim_Span and others have said, I personally would list the sub for £300 Buy-it-now and accept Best Offer. I have listed several items like this and have always made what I am looking for. You may need to be patient. Otherwise you will just have to set your sights a little lower. I also agree about not having the reserve. Personally I hate auctions like this and don't usually bother watching them.

I would also add a link to the HiFix website to show the current price.
