plasma all day every day ,, a top class lcd wood beat a poor brand plasma ,

but price the same plasma murders lcd , refresh rate ,motion , viewing angle , black levels ,

lcd for me is slightly better for pc use and games ,

simply because ps3,360 , games suit higher contrast settings and that could lead to burn -in on a plasma ,

But then other aspects of plasma technology means it also works very well for games - deeper blacks are important for some games, plus faster response times mean less chance of ghosting in fast action games. As games become more realistic and "movie like", all the arguments for using plasmas for movies can also be applied to games.

And burn in is just not a problem with modern plasmas unless you use the screen inappropriately so can we put this misleading negative to bed now?

I don't know how it works but it does, or at least reduces the soaping

I have done, had a Mini Mac plugged into my plasma for over a year. Also I regularly use games consoles for hours at a time.

I suspect you're confusing screen burn with image retention - screen burn is when an image is burned into the screen and can always be seen as a kind of ghost - there is no way it can be removed. Image retention is when the image appears to linger on the screen after the TV is turned off or goes to a black screen with no signal - it is removed the next time you play something on the TV. Image retention is quite common on plasmas (especially older ones - I get it quite a lot). However, since it disappears as soon as something else is played on the TV, it is a non-issue.

Just go get a second hand FD Trinitron and it'll still beat the pants off lcd, plasma or led ;)
