If you didn't live so far away I'd come and demo it all to you.
We could even hold a blindfolded transport demo!

I'm not sure which Stello DAC you have but one of my friends has the Russ Andrews one which, I believe, is made under the Stello banner. He uses it with an ancient but lovely Pioneer player as transport. Its pretty good compared to the P's inbuilt one but its the only time I've heard it so cant really comment.

I think the Russ Andrews is the Stello DA100. I think we've been talking about the 200 series.. That's the one I want to hear.

Is it just me or does Thaiman look very similar to Elvis? Sounds better than that muppet anyway.

Interesting thread, especailly after being given a Squeezebox duet just the other day and after having a TOTAL NIGHTMARE (18hours of my life gone forever) making things communicate I came to the conclusion it sounds better connected with an ethernet(?) cable than it did wireless? Anyone else think that? Don't have any decent RCA cables about either I suppose as XLR man myself.

To be realistic my CDP blows it away but for convienece its pretty good (for £200 or whatever it cost) but for serious listening, PRT, sparkle, i feel it sound a bit dead, flat even? Maybe when I record my music properly and hook it into DAC or whatever i will change my mind. Definitely the future. Not seen a decent review of the transporter, and as for the flashing lights etc give me a break. Made in USA not china though?

I did see a British compamy I think called @-tunes and there product called SB+ making a two box solution (seperate power supply) that uses the squeezebox software. Anyone had experiance of that?

Connect to your cd-player's digital input; then compare.
Not seen a decent review of the transporter, and as for the flashing lights etc
give me a break.
(gives a break and takes a deep breath) Well, search the internet or e-mail me, 2marc321@live.com. This way I don't have to break forum rules and can still give you the reviews you're looking for. Some mags say it comes close to the Teac Esoteric...
Didn't a Mr A Everard review it for Gramophone?
You know, I believe he may have done... And I think Wes quite liked it in Stereophile, too, not to mention a magazine rather closer to home giving it a solid five star review.

I think that's a newspaper, not a magazine.
