Which TV do you think will be better? OLED 4K HDR or LED 4K HDR?

I think OLED will be better it has deeper blacks and doesn't suffer from clouding.
Nice one cheers! I am not sure whether it will go as bright though. OLEDs with 4K have been dimed so it should be an interesting battle.

I have read on another forum that the bright bits can go eye blistering bright, which is probably the reason why it has been dimmed.

I see.

Regarding Flat Screen TV

Plasma is the previous generation

LED (LCD with LED Backlighting) is the current generation.

OLED is Next Generation

No idea what you are on about, *scratch_one-s_head* we are talking about 4K HDR.

It will be interesting to see the contrast ratio on them.

So far in what we have seen in 4k LED ,there is a credible fleet of TV's with the JS9500 in the front for now but not by much.
Panasonic's battle ship TV the CX800 with the Studio master 4k processor with promises of better than Triluminous is getting headlines etc.
But HDR has not crystallized in favour of LED or Oled this year with no terrestrial broadcast till 2017.No hdr 2.0a hdmi firmware is current in any TV outthere.
For now Oled is the best TV tech to own for viewing black contrast content.
When hdr comes in then Oled will be under pressure.

HDR is just technique to expand the palate of a TV, it is not specific to LED.

LED (LCD with LED backlight) is current tech, OLED is next generation tech, which will eventually replace LED, just like LED has replaced plasma. (Which is the previous generation tech)

Yes, Oled is the future dominant tech but how far into the future?Probably not till another decade if you consider unit sales as the measure.
HDR as you say is not an LED thing and I agree but it is not a dead certainty that Oled is the best to implement hdr as we know little about the longevity of the Oled panels under high brightness stress.
With LED TV's the hdr tech is solid as the LED diodes by their very nature just like in home lighting applications are very robust, durable and can pump out eye blinding luminousity for years and easier to repair.
Oled is still in the experimental phase with hdr.
