Hi everyone , I am now going to purchase a new tv , i have at present a 55 sony w905 which is excellent, but I want a larger screen, 65 inch ,so the sony will go to my sons room, i will buy a 4k tv with hdr, I dont use 3d or gaming , picture quality is my main concern , would prefere flat if possible , lounge is 16x 12 tv is to be wall mounted and has no window that end , I do have a sound system, so what would you all recommend , my budget is about £3000, but could go slightly over for the right tv, my choices seem to be the new sony xd93 , panny 902 ,samsung latest 65 inch , or maybe the js 9000 , and some lg oleds 950 perhaps ,will they be as good a picture on sky hd as my current tv, what would you choose , thanks

You need to make sure it has HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2. LG OLEDs are very good. If you're not bothered about 3D, look at upcoming LG B6. Otherwise E6, or even C6 if you don't mind the curve.

Hello again toonboy,

I thought I'd respond here rather than on gel's "new beast" thread, which, if he sells it will soon become an "old beast" thread!.

Here's the link to the Panasonic 65DX902 again http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/kd65xd9305-201604034267.htm . Both of these cost around three grand, the Sony being the cheaper. However, if you are feeling flush, see also this review of the 65" LG G6 http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/oled65g6p-201604014268.htm . But the LG 65" E6 is a thousand pounds cheaper at £5,000 and has the same picture but with an inferior soundbar / base. If you're still keen on the 65" EF950V flat OLED from last year, which is very good but not perfect and which I think would now be a backward step, then here's one of several reviews http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/65ef950v-201512284219.htm.

As you're still re-acquainting yourself with audio-visual stuff, I'm very glad that you've decided against buying a second-hand machine.

Thanks matey ,great links , I am veering more towards the 65 inch 902x, the reviews are excellent , will be viewing tomorrow, and will have a look at what else they have the panny is about as much as i want to pay .
