Which System do i choose?

I have been looking around for a new surround system as my previous system a £250 sony all in one is about 7 years old and starting to pack in.
I have 2 setups in mind.

1. Bose Lifestyle V30 - Used but in excellent condition for £1300

2. Denon AVR-1911 Reciever + B&W MT-25 speaker package - New for £1400

Would like advice on which setup would be best or a better alternative for under £1500 Must be Satalite speakers.

If you go to the well know other forums classifieds ads there is a M&K M7 5.1 (3xM7, 2xM4T and SB12) 6mth old set up for sale at £1300. I would put an offer in for these over any of your options and then buy an 2nd hand amp somewhere. 🙂

id go for 2 but if your not going to use 3d id drop the 1911 and get a 2310 not much difference in price and it will drive those speakers better

I have to agree with this, at £1300 its very nearly half RRP and will sound great with either the Denon 2311 or Onkyo 608

Also with having the M4T tripoles these will serve you very well for rear effects until you are in a position too purchase a second set for 7.1 which I thoroughly recommend

I know someone who had a Bose Lifestyle system and then bought the MT-25 with Denon 2808. The difference was stark. Do not even consider the Bose.

Thanks for the advice guys much appreciated.

Everywhere i turn im being put off the Bose system so it is now out.

Ive decided to go with the B&W MT-25 speakers, but after reading the new issue of the mag i now have a new dilema with the amps its now between the Denon 1911 and the Onkyo TX-SR608.

Im not convinced that 3D is here to stay or weather its just going to be another gimmick but i want to keep my options open hence the reason im not looking at the previous models.

I'd also consider the Pioneer VSX920, which a bargain for £500, and with the added capability of internet radio too.
