Hi,

I currently have an Onkyo TX-NR609 and a pair of B&W 685 stereo speakers.

I'm thinking of buying the rest of the B6W Theatre 685 package (rear, centre and sub) but reading the reviews of the ASW608 sub made me wonder: should I go the extra mile and instead of the ASW608 buy the ASW610?

Does it integrate well? Is it worth it over the ASW608?

Does anybody has the Theatre 685 with the ASW610 that can give their input?

What do you think?

Thanks!

I'd go for the 610 over the 608 (and did in fact). There's a good reason why the 610 has won the latest WHF award - for the money, it's excellent.

I agree with the prof, the 610 is certainly worth the extra cash.

I have an Onkyo 905 and use the ASW610 with my B&W 685 Theatre. I compared both subs when auditioning and have not regretted my selection the sub integrates superbly and the for movies the sound is immersive and brimming with detail. You will not regret upgrading the sub.

Best wishes

Chris

I did the same as the other guys. Upgrade to a ASW610. The ASW608 supplied with the 685 system is a great little unit but has it's limitations. Whereas the 610 has more room in it's specification to breathe easier and give a better performance. Hope this helps?

Paul
