Hi,

I've recently been given a choice of 3 subs:

1. REL acoustics Quake
2. MJ Acoustics Pro 50 MkII
3. Quad L-ite

All of them are being offered for £300, including the Quad. Question is, which should I go for?

My system: Rotel RA-05, Tannoy Mercury F1 Custom speakers

I've got a smallish room, but I'll definitely be moving to a bigger pad soon, so I suppose size doesn't quite matter at the moment.

Thanks!

Out of those 3, the MJ. The Quad is tempting but doesn't really go low enough.

Cheers for the reply! I'll probably get it over this weekend. Like you said, the Quad does sound very tempting, from £550 to £300, that's quite a bargain.

BTW Andrew, I'm a big fan of your work both on the Gramophone and on What HiFi!
