Hi

ive recently purchased some Edifier R1280 speakers to run on my desktop (from my pc). Im now wondering what the best solution would be to get the best sound out of them?

These are nice and minimal, https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B077ZH4BVF/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_1?smid=A2TDGS35ICMVBF&psc=1

but im wondering if just tilting the speakers up would be as satisfactory as raising them up in the air to my ear level with something like these gorillas? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B086GW1CJC/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=A2NR726TIYJCL3&psc=1

would anybody have any thoughts on the matter? :)

thanks for all your help
Nick

It depends on your budget; if you have plenty then the IsoAcoustics are excellent, otherwise go with one you have selected. (For most normal users isolation pads are all that is needed)

Hi, thanks - yeah I’m not looking to spend more than £40ish really.

I was just wondering if tilting is as good as raising? Not sure there’s much point in spending £40 on something that just tilts if they’re not going to be as good

thanks again

You don't necessarily need to raise them to ear level, but bringing them up is beneficial (if the tilting ones also raise them, and you only use them in nearfield, it can be a good alternative to raising the tweeter to ear level).
