which speakers

Need help!!!

Im just starting to build up my system and i've just orderd sonys 40x2000u lcd and next month im lookin at buying sonys STR-DA5200ES reciever which will be connected to PS3. I need help with speakers!!! Id prefer to have floor standing speakers at the front rather than a book shelf set up. Im hopin to get quality sound when watching films and listening to music. Any help is appreciated, Rick

realy depends on how much you want to spend, how big the room is etc. so many to choose from. took me 2 years to find mine. you budget will be the main thing. also depends on what you main use will be ? muxic ?? films

is it a stereo arrangement or 5.1?

It will be a 5.1 arrangment. I was looking at monitor audio BR6. Is the sony reciever im planning on really needed or would i get away with the Onkyo TX-SR605 with the same speaker setup???
