Which Speaker cables??

Please could someone tell me which speaker cables would be most suitable to connect Yamaha 863 to kef 3005se. What would be the best subwoofer lead. This is my first home cinema set up. I will be getting sky hd. What leads do i need and how do i connect everything up. Do i connect sky hd to my tv or to the amp.I'm willing to spend about 300 pounds ish.

Either Qed or Chord Carnival, I would go for Qed xt for fronts and centre micro for rears depending on distance required and Qed Qunex psw sub cable. If you decide to go for Chord carnival you could get the Crimson sub cable. For hdmi Qed, Chord or the new Van den hul.This comes down to personal choice really with some prefering the Chord as its supposed to give a little more bass and some prefering the Qed for its flexability.

Thanks lobby Will look into these. Can anyone tell me is it better to connect sky hd direct to tv or via amp.

It's more convenient (if you want to use your receiver for sound all the time) to route all sources through it and have one HDMI cable out to the TV. ÿEven better (if you can afford it) get a Harmony One remote and you can choose Sky, DVD/Blu-Ray, CD or whatever with one touch.
