Hi All

Advice needed as you can see in my signature I have quad main/rear/centre with Mission M3DS as the sides. This mission's sound very boxy do any of you have any suggestions/experience of speakers that would better match the quads as they don't produce bi-pole speakers.

Not too expensive

Thanks in advance

Without spending a fortune you could try for kef iq8ds models, discontinued now but often available on fleabay and also as ex demo models from places like sevenoakes and music matters, they were originally £400 new, a nice pair in walnut sold for around £170 last week on said auction site, bit of a steal at that price.

I have the older pair to the iq8ds, the kef q2ds, i bought them to match the kef set up i use, they are splendid rear speakers for cinema sound, what hi fi raved about them in their day.

Usually you should do your best to keep to the same speaker brand / range throughout your h c set up, but i've seen on a few forums that people use these kefs with quad gear and seem happy, if your amp has audyssey or similar you could eq the speakers to match your quads, that might help them integrate better.

If you want to keep with Quad but go a bit smaller and achieve a visual match, you could buy a pair of Quad L-ites. Mine work brilliantly with my 12L2 fronts and L2 centre.
