Which screen?

Looking to purchase a new screen, should i go for a Panny 42" plasma or a Samsung 40" LCD? Budget is £1000 ish It will be used for movies and TV, not got a games console. Any help or other suggestions welcome.

If you could stretch to it, the Pioneer PDP-428XD is quite brilliant, but it might be a touch too much for your budget. In which case, the Panasonic TH-42PX70 offers a brilliant, affordable alternative.

Cheers - your right, the Pinoneer is out of budget, so looks like it's the Panasonic for me then.

Isn't the Panasonic Full HD while the Pioneer is only HD-Ready? Therefore the Panasonic would have a much better picture right?
