Me & a friend are having abit of a debate at the min as to which powercord should be used for the plasma or Bluray player?

This is between a Russ Andrews Classic powercord or a QED Qonduit powercord? He has the same Bluray player as me, the Denon 2500bt transport. He suggests to use the QED for the bluray player & the Russ Andrews for the tv?

Does this really matter? Whats your opinions?

Hi jase

Neither go for the clearerAudio this a great cable WHFSV winner many times, plus if you are not happy with results you can get a refund.

Hi,

Do you use the cleareraudio pioneer? If so, what components do you use em on?

I have used both copperline on DVD player and LCD [old sharp] and worked brilliantly imo but my buddy has them on his FD-51 Blu-ray player and his 5090-PLASMA and again good results especaily on the Blu-ray, but remember they dont work for everyone so try before you buy here is the link, check it out. http://www.cleareraudio.com/

Another happy man.

Hi,

Before you go and drop £s on fancy power cables, spend a few pence on some cable ties. Use them to keep your existing power cables away from your signal cables / interconnects. Run all your cables in straight lines, using right angles for bends. Avoid coiling your power cables too. Ideally cut off the plugs off and trim cables to the length you need. If you must coil them, use a figure 8 rather than a loop and coil at the plug end, away from your equipment.

Much of the theoretical benefit of fancy mains cables is about limiting the amount of interference they put out. You can achieve similar results just by limiting the length of cables to just what you need and making sure they're kept away from signal cables.

pioneer7:I see you have RA already are you not happy with them???I did have pioneer, but didnt think they were worth the price really, £80 a cable ! So i sent em back.

Im yet to delete them from my signature

Very well put !! But ill still get a flash mains cable though !

I've got them too, to be honest. But all of the same rules apply. Next time you're shopping for one, consider having a look on eBay. TMC Connections make some well specified and nicely constructed power cables, but there are others to.

Thats TM3 connections 😛

I use the 16 core braided copper on my Pioneer, and the difference is jaw dropping! Id put them against ANYTHING under 150 quid personally (And the silver version anything under 300). Trust me, a week or 2 after fitting the copper you WILL be thanking me (be aware, they do take some 'running in' though)
