Can anyone recommend a sub-£50 specialist mains cable that improves TV pic quality (don't care about TV's sound cos I have an AV amp etc), please? I've tried a Tacima CS929 6-way mains conditioner (only £20.39 + p&p at Amazon; rrp £40), which made a spooky difference to my hifi (cleaner sound + improved spatiality/separation) but no difference to my TV & DVD pic. My TV is a plasma (Pana TH-42PX70). Thanks.

Hi, many would say there isn't such a thing, but i have got a 42px70 and a mate has and he's got his running with a merlin tarantula cable which has the noise supressors on it and seems to think there is a worthwhile improvement.
I am only using the original lead which i noticed also has the same noise supressors on it and it looks better quality than some i have seen so i stuck with it.
I too have the tacima block and i noticed the same sonic improvements on my gear although i am a bit septical that a mains cable will improve my picture to a noticable difference, although it may benefit the sound?!
Prob best sticking with the original and spend your cash on something more worthwhile i would say.
Good luck.

Ways to a good picture..........Firstly good signal strength off the Aeriel, using CT125 cable. 2nd... put the signal through 1050p upscaling (av amp etc) and use a quality link to the TV.
3rd.... Keep signal and mains lead far apart!
4th.....Kimber cable power cord (Russ Andrews)
5th.....Good earthing and circuit breakers in the fuse box.
6th.....A mains spur to feed your HiFi.
