Which is better for SD Freeview TV

A Samsung 37" lcd or a Panasonic 37" plasma, I will be viewing from about 7ft away. thanks.

Erm, did you have a specific couple of models in mind? Even then, any advice you get will only be someone else's opinion on a TV - you really need to go and have a look for yourself to decide which produces the best picture for the sorts of thing you're going to be watching. And even then, you really need to go somewhere where you can audition the set properly and not just in a Currys showroom where the room is lit very brightly (unlike your living room) and where you won't be able to calibrate the set to your preference.
