Which freeview tuner?

I,ve recently purchased a Panasonic 32 lcd with built in freeview and a Panasonic DVD 160gb harddrive with freeview. My question is: should i watch freeview through the the TV or the DVD player? The the DVD player is connected to the Tv with QED HDMI cable. Would welcome your thoughts for supposed best picture quality.

Personally, I'd use the DVD recorder except when you have to (like when recording, say) - if you're watching a programme and want to be able to pause it, you're better off being on the pausable source to begin with..............

Yes I agree with John, I have a panasonic lcd 32" and a Humax 160gig hd recorder, I mostly use the freeview in the recorder,as it seems to be the better receiver than the Panasonic in the LCD TV and picks up more stations.
