Which CD Player for £300 or less?

I'm about to replace my malfunctioning and somewhat harsh Cambridge Audio Azur 640C. I have Quad 11L speakers and an ancient Denon PMA 520 amp. I'd decided on a Marantz CD6003, but then I stumbled upon an open box Creek Evolution. Any advice?

I can't give you any advice on the Creek as I have no experience of it.

What I can say of the Marantz CD6003, thought, is that is one of those rare occasions where something really is as good as the hype.

I paid £320 for my Arcam CD192. Awesom player. Check eBay for bargains.

Thanks Chris, but I'm a bit suspicious of second hand CD players. They do, after all, have moving parts and in my experience as a careful, if heavy (about 8 hours a day), user they tend to start skipping after 4 or 5 years. Does anyone else have this problem?
