which 7.1 style speaker package

hi all i want to change my 7.1 ae linear set-up for a style type system i like the of the q7000 for the money and great review but richer sounds are doing a kef 3005 hd2 system for £550 (i can add the extra 2 speakers later on each) but are the kef speakers old hat now.

Maybe, but so are quad els57s ,

dont mean they aint great speakers in the right setup !!

Hi,i have the kef3005se......they are fantastic for movies,providing they are paired with the right amp.

To be honest,if my mrs would allow(working on her)i would replace the front 3 speakers with kef Qseries,better for music i think.

But as for old hat......just think quality my friend.
