Big Chris:Like I said earlier. I paid £1460 for mine, but that was 7.1 not the standard 5.1 and that also included delivery.

Basic 5.1 delivered was about £1270. Buying two systems should net you an even better deal.

Where do you live Vin? If you're a Londoner, you really should take a trip to Tottenham Court Rd, although you're unlikely to get a full 5.1 demo.

Hey Big Chris

I do work in London (live in Luton), so will pop into Tottenham Court Road to see if I can 'haggle' a good deal. I spoke to someone from Shahsonic, on TCR, and they said they could do me a deal if I popped in. I'm also getting a Onkyo TXNR905, so will try and use that as leverage into the bargain. Although, I've seen that at Richersounds for £800 - which must be a bargain!!

When you say you've got 7.1 for £1,460 does that mean 6 x M-1 satellites speakers (as opposed to 4 x M-1's). That's still a great deal as the M-1's go for £125 each!

Where was that from (if you don't mind me asking)?

Vin

Actually. The standard 5.1 has 5 M1 satellites. (The centre is exactly the same as the rest just turned on its side)

Yes, the 7.1 has 7 M1 speakers.

It was at PNR Audio/Visual on Tottenham Court Rd. Upstairs is the Home cinema speaker department.

Biggest bonus for me was it was the first store I'd found with the white Mt30!! I'd been to loads and all they had was silver & black.

That's not a bad price - although I would have said stick with the B&W's. However, they are double the price!

Going to Tottenham Court Road tomorrow to see what I can get.

Hey Chris,

Thanks for your advice - I finally got my MT30's from Tottenham Court Road (both Shasonic and PNR were very competitive). I'll be setting up when my Onkyo arrives next week!

Must say I was very disappointed with the manager at Sevenoaks (Watford). I was give a good demo from a young (very helpful) sales assistant but when it came to 'negotiating' a price with the manager he wasn't interested. In fact he was very rude. I wouldn't have minded if he had said he could move on the price, but he was fairly obnoxious. Never mind, he lost the sale and I got my MT30's £300 cheaper at TCR. I must say it doesn't surprise me that Sevenoaks stores are closing around the UK if the Watford store is anything to go by.
