Your amp is the limiting factor here. You can't get HD audio without a new amp. Agree with Buzz: look at the new Denons. Your Pioneer is 190W, the AVC-X4700H is 200W. So you don't need to go any higher than that.

Surely sound quality comes into it too though not just power?

Yes, but you're paying just for extra amplifiers in higher models which you won't be using anyway. Look at the cost difference. They cannot possibly improve anything else apart from adding amplifiers.

Haven’t played it yet, Buzz. I love it to be honest but I rarely play on it but I enjoy it when I do. My favourite pastime is being on the Internet on my iPad though.
