One of the biggest advantages with streaming is the recommendations if gives you for new music, (Something physical media cannot do) so while I have my main ones as posted in the poll, my scope ends up quite wide.

I ticked Rock but its really a mix of Prog Rock/some metal/ambient electronic space music plus the likes of Joni Mitchell & Kate Bush and a smattering of 70's Elton John, Max Richter, Hans Zimmer and some classical too. I have well over 100 different artists in my collection so its hard to narrow down..

it depends of how i´m feeling or forget to hear and when remember it by passing some records,

i find some i had forgot to hear . Sometimes more than a decade.

Soft music with acoustic instruments is what i hear more at night after diner, or some jazz albums depending on the style

what is prog ?
Prog is Progressive Rock, a term coined in the 70's for bands such as Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, Rush. ELP, Jethro Tull and even Pink Floyd to an extent. Prog carried on throughout the 80's despite being lambasted by music critics and is alive and well today albeit underground and obscure.

I've gone through many transitions in terms of my music genre preferences. When I was a youngster, it was peer driven.

Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Nick Haywards iconic song Knights in White Satin, even Uriah Heep, though I can't remember any of their songs!
Wind Cries Mary, hypnotised by Hendrix.
In the early eighties, I wore my peace beads, my hair was so thick, friends called me Mop, drank the Santana cool aid, Black Magic Woman. If I'm honest, Fleetwood Macs original version was best.
I switched to Funky Soul, like Brass Construction and others.
Got bored of that, moved to Folk Rock, Fleetwood Mac, had a thing with Stevie Nicks. Simon and Garfunkel. I flirted with Bob Dylan and asked myself, why do I feel depress listening to to his music, some flapping ar3e, masquerading as the Messiah?

Cat Stevens the most underrated song writer of all time, Father and Son, First Cut is the Deepest...............shame he found religion.

Then came the Glam Rock, Bowie, Kingdom Come, loved this song

Sun keeps beating down on me, wall's a mile high
Up in the tower they're watching me hoping I'm gonna die
I won't be breaking no rocks
I said "I won't be breaking no rocks"

Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, Iggy, all heroes of mine.
Punk never did anything for me, the Sex Pistols were bunch of t*@ts pretending to be relevant. I liked Clash, they were more intelligent and purposeful, should I stay or should I go...?
Kurt Cobain, Nirvana....grunge stuff in the 1990s, got all their albums...Rape Me....Teenage Spirit...so many and I still listen to it today.

My old girlfriend would Koo over George Michael, I would say to her, trust me, he's gay. You gotta have Faith Faith.....Speaking of the enlighten ones, there's only one Freddy Mercury. He'll never be forgotten. A mention also to the queen of pop, Madonna, Elton John.

I was hooked on New Wave, Blondie and Police and later the Bangles, Another Manic Monday choice of music, I would make Nelly the hooker proud, I slept with many genres in my time.

There was some great pop in the eighties and nineties, Annie Lennox, Elvis Costello...Oliver's Army. Dire Strait's Sultans of Swing, the B52's to name a few.
Aqua, I'm a barbie girl in a barbie world------Ha ha ha, just kidding...Oh fudge, it's embedded in my brain now....I'm a Barbie Girl.....you're so plastic...

The Gallagher brothers, particularly the mouthy one called Liam, U2, the 'tard in the sunshades called Bono, I hated with passion.

Loved Radiohead, one of my favourites, Creep,
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
You're so f**king special........................Ah classic.
We had the noughties, the 10s, 20s......the music died and Buddy Holly wasn't around.

I've been up and down the park.
Today, I'm Mr. Mellow, chill, relax, slip a fart, feel comfortable.....Bluesy Jazz with a tinge of soul.

I’ve got about 100 records that fall under country, although most are 60s/70s LA/NYC sound or modern Americana-indie type country.

Between those & my metal and hardcore collection, it represents the range of ‘rock’ music I like.
Country is growing on me lots of new artists not familiar with the genre i grew up listening to my older brothers music he introduced me to some great bands like tom petty and ten years after. i have a very varied taste .
