My first hifi was:

Thorens TD160 deck with SME 3009 improved arm and Shure V15III Cartridge

Cambridge Audio P40 amplifier (made in Byfleet then rather than China)

Cambridge Audio R50 speakers

I later added a Pioneer 2121 cassette deck and changed the amp to Meridian 101/105

I'm not going to count the home built Sinclair amps and similar that I messed about with.

First proper system -

Sansui AU222 amp (wish I still had that)

Goldring/Lenco GL69

Home built speakers (Wharfedale units)

Sony TC160 cassette deck (top loader)

Loved all of it. This would have been about 1971/72
