Great debut album, I need a better copy though.

One of the soundtracks to my mid-teenage years. No cider-fuelled house party was complete without it. That and the first two Bunnymen albums, a brace of Joy Division and a smattering of Crass.

Those were the days. . . and still are, occasionally too.

I'm really enjoying it, haven't played it for ages, I'd forgotten how good it was.

It's really stripped down compared to their other albums, though I like the 3 that followed, they don't quite match up to this one.

Over produced, yes, but I still like it. Midnight To Midnight on the other hand, is utterly dreadful.

Months without vinyl, so much catching up to do. Frustratingly most of my albums are still in storage so I'm restricted to two crates that were left in the house during the demolition job.

So from that batch, tonight it's been:

Neu box

Gaucho - Steely Dan

67-70 - The Beatles

Spike - Elvis Costello

and the newly acquired

Electric - Pet Shop Boys

I've got a mate coming round tomorrow after to work to help with some work on the house and then we're having an end of term beer, curry, vinyl session. I might have to delve into the various storage locations to vary the selections.
