I have around £1500 pounds to spend on a new tv and was just wondering peoples opinoins on what to buy? Cant wait for tne new 2010 models as my old crt has blown a gasket. HELP PLEASE!!

40 or 42 mate. not sure lcd or plasma. been reading up but still not sure. going to be watching mostly hd and sports. any ideas?

id go with a good plasma , ideal for sports , as plasmas handle motion better than lcds , the trouble is , most of the 09 plasmas are now discontinued , but if you can find a panasonic 42g10 , 42v10 then you wont go far wrong ...

its a shame you cant wait a few months , as the new panny plasmas are likely to be as good as the best tv ever made , the pioneer kuro , which is also discontinued , because panasonic hired some ex pioneer engineers to help develop their new range , its just a thought , but would you consider buying a cheap 2nd hand tv , maybe for £200 , just as a stop gap , and keep your dough till april , when the new plasmas will be on sale ??

well i think the 3d pannys will be a minimum of 50in , and £2000 , so you would need to up your budget and size , if you want a 3d panny , there will be 40in 3d lcds for around £1800 , but im not sure a smallish screen like that would do 3d justice ..

if i was you , id get the cheap tv , and keep an eye on here , to get the rundown as things unfold , then you can be sure to get the best tv for your needs , with the latest tech , features ...

Thanks mate. sound advice. i will keep checking back for news

Hi,i have the 42 v10 and it is the best screen out there(maybe whf will disagree with the award going to the phillips)but after comparing twice to the award winner it is the best(in my opinion)and even a dealer that sells all the top makes agrees.
