What to wear at the gym?

I have tried standard Apple ear phones (or is it head phones?) both new and old.
I was unable to keep either in my ear once I had worked up a sweat.

The rubber also perished in both cases.

Looking to balance comfort, stability and sound quality. Any recommendations?

My other half used something like these when training for the Marathon a couple of years back (wasn't this exact model, but this design).

I wear standard Sennheiser CX300s. I had Comfort Tips for a while, but they got sweat laden, so reverted back to the normal silicon tips.

Thank you both. I only workout in the gym so no need to allow outside noise in as I'm in no danger of being hit by traffic. But some water-resistance is necessary. Will need to look into these tonight.

From a purely aesthetic perspective I prefer the straight connection as opposed to the right-angle one. I suppose I would set a budget of around £50 max as not to upset the girlfriend too much.
