Hi guys,

newbie post....need your wisdom.

I have a pair of MA RS 6's with a RS LCR, 2 x RS FX and a RSW12 in my Home cinema powered by a Sony STR DB2000 Reciever (analogue but a good workhorse) linked to an LG AN110 Projector.

Looking to upgrade the amp and go 'Digital' to make the best use of a new media centre with HDMI video and audio output.  Any suggestions.......???

Budget is up £1500 but I need to run a HDTV and a Projector from the amp so 2 HDMI ouputs required !!!

Ideally I would like an amp I can use for the next 10 years which will allow me to add multiple HD sources and decode HD audio with the possibilty of adding 2nd zones and integrate into a home automation system......oh and can it make my baby sleep alnight and wash my car !!!

 Thanks

Sony STR-DA5400es. I have the amp one down from this one and the same speakers as you apart from the rears. The sound is unbelievable. If you go the bluray route, you will not believe how good it all sounds.

I was thinking about the 5400ES but I have heard rumours that the 6400ES is due for an August release in the UK ???

Is it worth waiting and paying more for ???

You could go on waiting but I don't see the point. I reckon the 5400es is good enough for even better packages than the RS6AV. Also, the 6400es will probably be more than £2k and might just have extras that you don't really need. Wait til you hear your sub when you get sorted - I'm still amazed by mine.
