What speaker package to partner my Onkyo 608

I am looking to buy a new 5.1 speaker package to upgrade my current setup, have been looking at the kef 2005.3 and the MA R90HD as sevenoaks have a good deal on them at the moment.

I am looking for non bias opinions to whether the MA's justify the extra cost over the KEF's

It depends to a degree on how much extra the MA's are over the KEF speakers, but generally IMO they would be the ones I would go for. Ultimately you will need to go and have a listen and decide for yourself if it's worth the extra cash.

Thanks for the advice I am swaying towards the MA's as I have read alot of good reviews but as you say I will audition both packages

I have an Integra amp which is very similar to the Onkyo 608. I'm running the B&W 685/HTM62/686 and sub. Very nice. I listened to the MA BX range and I preferred the B&W's.

I use MA RS 8 fronts/ RS Centre/ RSFX backs/ BK Electronics Sub with my Onkyo 608 and i am extremely happy with my sound!
