WHAT PLASMA FOR £1000

I'm looking to buy a new plasma for around 1k. would like 42" screen or bigger and have been looking for advice. Looked at Panansonic 42PZ80 AND 46PZ81B. I am getting sky hd.
Any tips would be greatfully received.

I've got the same question after seeing some great bargains on full-hd samsung plasmas. They're down to around a 1000 euros right now but can they match panasonics on PQ?

I have a Full HD Samsung which was their first full HD offering (review here) A freind of mine recently purchased the Samsung PS50A656 (spec here) and that is as good as mine

The panasonics are very good sets but the Samsungs can offer IMHO better VFM.

Panasonic TH-42PZ80 would be a great buy, although the new 2009 models are now coming through. You might want to check out the new TX-P42G10, officially £1200 but you might find it for less.

Also got the new TX-P42V10 coming in for test shortly.

just found the TX-P42G10 at dixons electrical for £969.

how does the TX-P42G10 compare up to the 42PZ80 and 46PZ81B?
