What is the replacement DacMagic PSU like?

I've just received a letter from CA about getting a free replacement PSU. I have been using the 9v Maplins PSU with no problems. I was just wondering whether it would be worth getting the CA one or not?

I haven't received any letter. But with Royal Mail's recent record, this isn't exactly surprising. They're still holding hostage a mystery parcel for me from 2 weeks ago now. I'm gonna check CA's website to see if there's anything mentioned there.

It's free, you have a perfect right to it, and it's always handy to have a spare.

Why not try it - it is free and runs cooler than the original DM one, as does the DM unit itself when using this replacement PSU. At the very least, it can be a backup if your Maplins one goes caput !
