What is the Optimum Method for connecting PS3 to Receiver

Hi, I have ordered a PS3 and have a receiver capable of decoding the new sound formatts. Can anyone tell me the best way to connect to the receiver. My thoughts are: Do I need an HDMI 1.3 lead (or are they included....!) Will there be any advantage of connecting an optical lead. Thanks guys!

An HDMI 1.3 cable will give best results, but don't spend a fortune on one unless you need a very long connection run. And no, you don't need an optical cable.

Thanks for the quick answer- could you reccommend an HDMI 1.3 lead ? I only need a 2m length.
My WHFI is at home-otherwise I will check later.

The QED already suggested will be fine.
