WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PLAY MP3

HI I HAVE 85GIG OF MUSIC AND FILM ON AN EXTERNAL HDD UP TILL NOW I HAVE BEEN PLAYING IT THROUGH MY LAAPY ON BOARD SOUND CARD. BUT WHAT IWANT TO ACHEIVE IS TO PLAY IT THROUGH MY A/V AMP (DENON1910), WITHOUT HAVING TO USE THE LAPPY IF POSS. WHAT BIT OF KIT SHOULD I BE LOOKIG AT?

WOULD THE POPCORN HOUR / HDX1000 BE SUITABLE AS IWANT A MEDIAPLAYER TYPE INTERFACE FOR SEARCHING OR WOULD I NEED A DACMAGIC AS WELL TO GET THE QUALITY AUDIO IM AFTER IVE ALSO SEEN KIT LIKE THE BUFFALO TERRA STATION BUT WHAT COULD THIS DO FOR ME. PLEASE HELP AS IM CONFUSED

Perfect solution would be the Western Digital 1080p media player for around £65. Connect it to your screen or receiver with hdmi and or digital audio and to your hard drive by usb. Will play virtually any video or audio file. Check out Amazon for good deals.

If you connect to your receiver with digital audio, you would be using the DAC in the Denon. Try that first to see if you are happy with the sound, if not, you could add a DAC like the DacMagic afterwards.
