I dont really want spend much more, also what is the best way to connect my sky plus box to a hdmi telly,

I believe the best option for a Sky + box is a Scart connection.

(Sky+HD would be HDMI)

If it's standard def sky+ you have then you'll need a scart lead not HDMI!

...and if it is a Sky+ HD box, it comes with an HDMI cable which is more than adequate.

If it is a standard Sky+ box, the Thor SCART is highly recommended. Ensure the box is set to RGB, 16:9 and SCART Control is on in the picture settings menu and you use the TV SCART connection as it is RGB enabled. The VCR socket only outputs composite video (PAL).

Whether one HDMI cable is/can be different from another produces raging debates on the forum. You may well be better off checking the review section on HDMI or do what I do for cables in general, buy something from a reputable source that has a high build quality with a maximum budget of about £25 for digital.
