Hi all, Hoping someone can help me in my HDMI cable quandary! I have recently purchased a Samsung 32" R88 BDX and a Samsung HTX35 Home Cinema system for my bedroom. I need to connect the two but the problem is the HTX is in a different location 10 metres away from the TV. I don't want to shell out hundreds of pounds on a HDMI cable but just something that will do justice for the TV. My main TV is in the living room so this is for secondary use. The other issue is that the cable has to run along the ceiling so needs to be white or else the woman complains! I've seen on Amazon a white 'Fisual Pearl HDMI Interconnect 10m v1.3' for £25 but noticed it only supports 1080i and not 1080p. I guess this doesn't matter though right as my LCD is only 1080i anyway? Or should you go for a 1080p cable even if your TV is 1080i anyway? I don't plan on having blue-ray in the bedroom or anything in future. The reason i need to buy this HDMI cable is because the guy before me wired in an RGB scart lead behind the wall, but I'm guessing this isn't really good enough for my set-up. I was also wondering if I could still use the wiring of this scart lead (if I take off the connector) to hook up a centre speaker to save me running another long lead along my ceiling? Thanks in advance for your help!
